Following his undergraduate accounting studies, BBA Siena College, Geoff Harrington went to Boston with Texaco. From there, to NYC with Texaco, then with GAF in NYC, then up to Greenwich with American Can, then to ITT in Rye, NY.
Geoff finished his MBA in 1981 at the UCONN Business School. He then joined ABEX in Stamford, later heading off to Boston for a special assignment, and finally to Marsh & McLennan in NYC. Geoff took an early retirement buy-out at the time of a major corporate restructuring; coinciding with his youngest child’s last semester of college. Geoff spent over 30 years with these major corporations in executive and senior management positions. His education and business efforts were devoted to finance, operations, technology, and contract negotiation. Following his early retirement in 1994, Geoff gave about five years of his time to the Connecticut Special Olympics, assisting with planning, organization and operations.
Geoff “found” real estate sales in the late nineties and has loved the work.
He also has a background in government service, fitness training, marathon running and triathlons. He’s now spending all of his time concentrating on real estate opportunities for buyers and sellers in Fairfield and Westchester Counties..
Geoff is currently a member of the National Association of Realtors, Connecticut Association of Realtors, Ridgefield Association of Realtors, Consolidated Multiple Listing Service, Westchester/Putnam Counties MLS.
Geoff has been a homeowner and active member of the town of Ridgefield for more than 40 years. He is convinced that the town of Ridgefield is the best to be found. Ridgefield’s statistics continue to place the town at the top ranking of towns of its size in the state. Ridgefield’s school system is rated in the top five state-wide, year after year. Ridgefield’s Parks & Recreation department is also annually rated in the top five-percent of the state. Suffice it to say, Ridgefield provides an unparalleled quality of life for its residents. Commuting to lower Fairfield and Westchester Counties is quick and easy. Commuting to Manhattan via rail is from Katonah, Branchville, or Golden’s Bridge rail stations. Ridgefield has a shuttle bus service for rail commuters from downtown to Katonah.
